It's a new day in The World, and a special quest is abound. But wait, the players cry! The game isn't open yet! Shush you, the GMs warned. This is only a test drive meme. The game is simple. You've woken up in a lush field of grass, soft to the touch and a little damp with dew. Spring has reached The World, and there's a randomized checklist in your hand. Your goal is to catch five of the Lucky Animals bounding about, and it's perfectly fine to work together. In fact, we encourage it! Collect them all and deposit them in a pen where the GMs await. There's plenty for everyone, but they will be watching closely for cheaters. Any items won in this pre-game minigame will carry over once holyrelic opens, so get your limited edition item set today! Magnificent prizes await you, so go forth! Just beware; some of the Lucky Animals aren't really so lucky and have their own side effects. (All participants who apply will receive a mochi hat of the player's choosing. They can be either small (think mini tophats) or large (like a harvest cleric's hat) and any of the three colors, with any variety of accessories. All participants who finish the quest will earn a spring-themed beginner item set! It will include one weapon and a bonus item set with five restoratives, five randomized buff spells, and five randomized food items.)

[she wants to argue that she kicks the Chim Chims all the time, but Gauche's hand gives a temporary relieve from the thought of abuse towards the Lucky Animals. her attention rests at his gloved hand before she looks back to him.

leaning into him, she peers at his list. it was different from her own: Leviathan, Sleipnir, Kudan, Tokoh, and Nue.]

I hope these Tengu don't resemble the ones that I know...

Okay! [ She walks closer, peering around for a Nue. There's something there but it doesn't look like the animal they're looking for. ]

[Roy, being the one with armor and a weapon, takes the point to go over and get a look.]

[ Surprise, it's a Two-Tailed Fox! Is it on the list? ]

[Foolishly, Roy pauses to check.]

[if it wasn't for the fact that the High Wolf makes a rather sharp turn to head back in the direction it had been running? Amaterasu would never have noticed that the Lucky Animal and she was being followed.

but she goes to make the turn as well and, well...

where the High Wolf is able to dash between Minako's legs and get a clear getaway? not so much for the big, white one! hope you got some fast reflexes, Minako, or else there's going to be comedy shenanigans in the form of: attempts to jump over but, oh no, a failure!!! and, thus, accidentally running flying into another person! will be happening.]

[ Minako's reflexes are pretty okay! Unfortunately, she's paying more attention to the little wolf than the big one and trying to catch it is a go -- except it's too fast and she definitely doesn't see the big shadow about to land on her... ]

[--and the collision occurs in what could only be called the longest slow motion moment in life

but, hey, at least the wolf didn't wind up landing on her butt first? that would have been all sorts of awkward all around.]

[ That's something to be thankful for! For the sake of the girl sprawled on the floor under you, let's hope you're not too heavy! ] Oww... [ She coughs, then tries to peer backwards, ignoring the parts of her that are screaming ow ow ow. ]

Watch out! [ When she sees the creature move towards them, her knee-jerk reaction is a 'oh, crap'; not even thinking, she moves forward, naginata appearing in hand, and knocks the fox backwards with one smooth swing.

But the fox seems unharmed! In fact, it's coming for them again-- ]

[ And Kain is unamused. ]

Shouldn't you get doing something? Like getting the rest?

[ It seemed she did. Well, there was always time to sort those things out later. They were never in any shortage of that in The World.

Hmmm, I think I've seen one before. They have big noses. Were the ones you know particularly terrible?


[ His hand goes to the crystal clear emerald steam gun in its holster, looking around at the odd Lucky Animals running about the field. It'd be tricky to catch them, but he was interested in the challenge. ]

[ Silabus was always one to help out others-- he was always...

...ah. Is that a delinquent? It was hard to miss that hairstyle and general aura. For all his time in The World, he'd never once run into someone so obviously... themselves. You could always tell the usual types with Player Killers and such, but...

...Well, maybe he still needed help!! The green-clad blade brandier is a little hesitant on approaching, but does his best to smile regardless. ]

[People always commonly mistook Gentaro for a delinquent, assuming he'll just cause problems everywhere he went. So it's not farfetched that his wonderfully styled hair would cause some misunderstandings in this new place he was in, too. Well, he sort of did cause problems sometimes with mishaps with his switches...but overall he's a nice guy, really! Don't you worry Silabus, he's no PKer! I'm sure he'll befriend you soon enough]
