12:45 pm - It's SHOWTIME
feeltherhythm: do you people know how tempting it is (Default)
And a hero is always late to the show. Hahaha~ but seriously, I was slammed with work in June which meant that an intro post was a far off dream. 8|;;

Hi, this is Kuu! For those who don't know me, I'm probably more recognizable as that chick who plays Sonic ([personal profile] greaterspeed) and Link ([personal profile] twilightlegend) but I recently picked up a few more characters and have hit character limit again like the tool I am.

First would be Prometheus ([personal profile] trap_factory) from the Megaman ZX series. He's a Flick Reaper, kinda terrifying and will take any excuse to PK the ever loving shit out of everyone. I'll be setting up a permissions post for him later so people can opt out of meeting him since he... Hates everyone and everything including himself and is generally a Very Bad Influence.

Next is a proper British Gentleman by the name of Hershel Layton ([personal profile] apropergent) who just got apped this round so once I get his journal set up, he'll be popping in as a new Blade Brandier. For those who don't know him, he's a gentleman with a myriad of skills and a love of puzzles. All the puzzles all the time. If you haven't played this series YOU TOTALLY SHOULD. Also, sup all my Level-5 bros?

And now, with the recent North American release plus the fact that I have both Sonic and Layton in my repetoire, it was only natural that I wind up picking up Raphael ([personal profile] feeltherhythm) from that puzzle rhythm game by SEGA, Rhythm Thief!! He's a Macabre Dancer and will be dancing onto the stage once I finish making icons for him and Sonic. /sobs

SO, MES AMIES, WHO FANCIES A GAME OF FOOTBALL? (・`ω´・)
chims: (steal from the rich and give to the poor)
Hey guys! I have a couple of important additions to the game's mechanics, and also a bitty ditty about this week's event. As always, if you have any questions/comments after reading, just let us know!

First of all, and most importantly: there is now a public board! AKA the familiar network mechanic. CCorp pushed their re-opening of The World and not everything was done, but now the message board is up and running with a new addition to the Relic. There will be audio, video, and of course text messaging available immediately and will be introduced with its first post announcing the event with the first clue.

The icon that opens the board will be flashing on the Relic, and when the characters open it, they'll be given a tutorial that walks them through the basics of how to work it and what it can do. Anonymous posting will be allowed, but encryption is entirely up to the character's ability to do so.

There will also be a PM system in effect soon, but as of yet it hasn't been "finished". It's coming, it's coming, it's coming. Beware, soon you'll be privy to all your friends' thoughts and remarks.

Moving on, I wanted to detail the level system and alternate ways to rack up your levels! I apologize for it not being clarified earlier, and please do comment to account for any extra levels earned with these guidelines.

ONE: Of course the default, participate in events! This is the quickest way to earn levels, and the highest net gain of anywhere between 1~4 levels per event.
TWO: Post! You'll earn one level per (any) post made, up to four posts a month. While we do encourage activity, we don't want to see a lot of spam just to up levels! :(
THREE: Dungeon crawl! Or any form of non-event leveling. Field areas will earn you two levels each, and dungeons will be three. Please be sure to show us your log/post about doing so and we'll grant you the levels for them! The actual grinding can be handwaved, so long as it ICly did happen/was organized and assumed to have happened.
FOUR: Pass activity! As we mentioned in the FAQ, there is one level awarded per a/c passed-- if you gain no other levels, at least this will be accounted for.

There may be other ways added eventually, but for now these are the basics, and they'll be added to the FAQ shortly as well as be reminders posted to A/C. Any activity/missed levels from game opening can be claimed here and now, just reply to the LEVELS thread below!

Now, about this week's event. It's packed full of things to do and swag to gain, but that also means it'll be a lot of tagging! It's a scavenger hunt setup meant to guide Players through The World, get accustomed with it and know what there is to know-- as well as introduce our new Root Town! It's a fun and low-leveled journey through all the different areas and begins in the Root Town, with the first hint given.

I'll be outlining the hints, solutions, and prizes to be earned below, separated via cuts in case you want to avoid spoiling the surprises. :)

step one )

step two )

step three )

step four )

step five )

Aaaand I believe that's everything! The network post will be coming shortly, and the event log right behind. :) ♥

Feel free to plot away, break into groups, or slam us with any questions/clarifications inside!

EDIT so you guys aren't spammed.
I realize we weren't able to announce the winners for the Tulip Quest(!!!). Going through the log, we conclude that the winners are Mia's party: Mia, Ivan, Roy. They each gain(ed) one extra level from the quest.

We've also decided a winner for the steambike raffle! We used RNG to roll for the winning raffle number, and the winner is Faris! Congratulations!
