It's a new day in The World, and a special quest is abound. But wait, the players cry! The game isn't open yet! Shush you, the GMs warned. This is only a test drive meme. The game is simple. You've woken up in a lush field of grass, soft to the touch and a little damp with dew. Spring has reached The World, and there's a randomized checklist in your hand. Your goal is to catch five of the Lucky Animals bounding about, and it's perfectly fine to work together. In fact, we encourage it! Collect them all and deposit them in a pen where the GMs await. There's plenty for everyone, but they will be watching closely for cheaters. Any items won in this pre-game minigame will carry over once holyrelic opens, so get your limited edition item set today! Magnificent prizes await you, so go forth! Just beware; some of the Lucky Animals aren't really so lucky and have their own side effects. (All participants who apply will receive a mochi hat of the player's choosing. They can be either small (think mini tophats) or large (like a harvest cleric's hat) and any of the three colors, with any variety of accessories. All participants who finish the quest will earn a spring-themed beginner item set! It will include one weapon and a bonus item set with five restoratives, five randomized buff spells, and five randomized food items.)

[N appears to be gathering a decent little group of them! But for some odd reason, he doesn't want to lead the two to the pen. Instead, he's crouched low so he can be closer to eye level, and appears to be... speaking, to them.

Or listening, at this point, as they babble on and on about running and being chased and kicked and how fun it is etc. N looks quite happy.]

[And, though Mei does start forward a step when the Goat knocks into him, in the end she ends up just watching the debacle. Right down to Joshua's (graceful) attempts not to fall on his face.

They make a bit of a comically frozen tableau for a moment, since she isn't moving and Joshua is on the verge of going either up or down.

This is clearly the best moment for an actual Lucky Animal to come dashing through like a rocket, leaving nothing but a trail of dust behind.]

Yes! Hahaha, take this you silly animal! [He gives the Fate Worm a kick on its side (he's careful not to wake it up, but he's pretty sure it wouldn't because of Yuuta's spell. And he gives his friend a thumbs up.]

Great job on the aim! Now we can bring this back, and we're down to three.

That was the first thought that ran through Neku's mind when he blearily opened his eyes and saw the Lucky Animals prancing about what seemed to be quite the luxurious field. His limbs ached, his head hurt, and it was just a tad bit too bright here for his own tastes. Did he mention that horrible headache?

Getting up, muttering with a soft, "ow", at the soreness, it came to dawn on him that things were very, very different. And by that, he meant the all inclusive list of: attire, surroundings, and anything else one could think of. The hell?

He sits up, just enough to get a better angle on this chaos... and uh, oh hey, what's this list? At least it doesn't have numbers on it.

His attention was diverted when the list teasingly began to drift away because of the 'wind'. Shit, that was his only clue -- ! Scrambling now. Ow, ow, ow this is awkward, grass-burn, ow ...!! ]

[The voice catches his attention, and Joshua tilts his head up from his own list.]

Who, me? Not at all. Just trying to get my bearings.

BOOYAH wait no that's Beat

[All that scrambling is sure to get attention, you know. And a certain someone just so happens to be close enough to notice!

And he's putting his foot down on your list, there. So it doesn't fly away. Isn't that kind of him~?]

[ Just what he had always wanted.

There's a tenseness that runs up Neku's spine that he can't shake. And for good reason. That voice. That was why he was in this mess, it just had to be!

His eyes darted up shortly afterward, shoulders visibly tense, hand mid-stretch. Blink. Oh right he should say something. ]

Give me that. [ He's not in the mood for conversation, or particularly in the mood to yell at you for a plethora of reasons, Joshua. Instead, he's going to give you the flattest of irritated looks, gaze dropping back down to Joshua's foot. ]

[Oh, don't give him that look. It's like you think he's responsible or something. He lifts his foot after a moment, as soon as he's sure Neku has it and it won't blow away.]

Gee, I wonder... [ Neku reaches for the list. Once it's securely back in his hold, the tenseness begins to ebb away. Just a bit.

Until he sits back and looks back up at Joshua, about to say something, but instead sees what the other is actually wearing. Bliiiiiiink. Complete and utter confusion -

[... yeah. Yeah, he can see you starting to laugh, there. And he's pretty sure he knows exactly why, too.]

[ Hey, at least Neku looks somewhat noble in his. ... All right, noble isn't the right word. He's trying not to smirk and chuckle, really trying, here! ]

[ Neku wants to do something along the lines of flip Joshua off for that statement, but instead he crosses his arms stubbornly. ]

If I was, I'd love to hear what look you're going for.

[Joshua simply shrugs! And those little tassels hanging down from his hat? Those are getting flipped. Since his hair isn't as easily accessible, the hat will have to do.]

If I'd dressed myself, I could tell you! Whoever it was, though, didn't have too terrible a sense of taste.
