BECAUSE IT'S TRUE. There's a large, glowing ring spinning lazily in the room you've woken up in. It's a small antechamber to be sure, but there's others like you on the floor, awake and dazed or still unconscious. More still are other people coming and going from the glowing ring without sparing you much of a glance, if they aren't trying to help in the first place. It's not a big deal where you came from or what you were doing. You're just another player in The World now. Just like any MMORPG, you're assigned a class with specific weapons and outfits, you need to participate in events or clear dungeons to "level up", and get yourself into a guild for a place to sleep. The NPCs don't take kindly to squatters outside their shops! Upon stepping out of the Chaos Gate chamber you woke up in, you've already stepped into a new world that needs exploring.

HOLY RELIC is a light-hearted, flexible panfandom game with silly events and a steampunk setting; we have a lot of plans for expansion and will open apps to Original Characters after a couple of months. There's a loose "level" system that we use to determine when to open new servers/areas, which will mostly be kept track of for you. There's plenty of room for light plots, dark plots, and as much or as little detail as you'd like!
